Nugent Good Shepherd Mass

On the 6th of June 2018 a group of Year 7 pupils joined with other pupils from around Liverpool to celebrate the work of our Year 7 charity Nugent at their Good Shepherd Mass at the cathedral. Our pupils were lucky enough to sing in the Cathedral choir, and their Director of Music, Dr. Christopher McElroy, came to teach the hymns to the pupils here at school.

On the day we arrived at the cathedral for 10.30am so that we could practice singing and hear what we sounded like at the Cathedral. We enjoyed a picnic in the grounds, then got ready to celebrate Mass with over 1000 others.

Two of our pupils also read, and the readings were signed to the congregation by an interpreter. We had a wonderful day and we met Archbishop Malcolm McMahon! The Year 7s managed to hand over a cheque for £862 to Nugent. They really got involved in their fundraising!
