Behaviour for Learning
We are continually striving to improve all aspects of our schools performance in order to give our students the best opportunities to develop as individuals and to maximise their learning. Good behaviour in lessons and around school is one of the most important ingredients for ensuring students reach their full potential. One of the focus points of our School Development Plan is Behaviour for Learning. The aims and objectives for this focus are
To review and evaluate current levels of behaviour
To identify nature and frequency of incidents of poor behaviour
To identify, develop and share strategies for managing behaviour
To produce a policy which promotes consistency of expectations and emphasises the encouragement of positive behaviour
With these aims and objectives firmly placed at the forefront of our work we conducted a survey in which we questioned staff, students and parents perceptions of behaviour in our school. We asked for thoughts ands ideas to improve behaviour. A summary of the results from the student’s survey follows.
We will use the results to inform our planning and to develop strategies to improve behaviour throughout our school. |
