What is the presentation about?

?
  • The presentation is the second part of the speaking paper. The presentation will last about 1 minute and a half and then the examiner will ask you some questions.
  • The presentation is worth 12 marks of the speaking exam.
  • You have ten minutes preparation and you can take four or five headings into the exam.

Any tips that may help?

!
  • Use gestures and drawings if you have problems expressing what you want to say
  • Request for help: ¿Qué?, Puede repertirmelo, No entiendo, más despacio ...
  • Try to get the general meaning of questions even if you don't understand all the words
  • Use tenses accurately: if you are asked in the past, answer in the past!
  • Always answer to questions in full sentences!!!
  • Express your opinion as often as you can!
  • Prepare the presentation beforehand!!!

How can I practice for the presentation?

First, practice writing the presentation and the answers to the questions down and reading them aloud. Then, say your presentation aloud without looking at what you have written down before.
